Automation / Robotics Engineer Apprentice (H /F)

DATATECHNIC, based in Uxegney in the Vosges, is a human-sized subsidiary of an international German group that is a world leader in the balancing sector. Our teams of enthusiasts, with great technical expertise, design, manufacture and install turbocharger balancing machines for the automotive industry. As part of the development of our activities, we are looking for an Automation / Robotics Engineer Apprentice (M/F).

Automation / Robotics Engineer job description:

Reporting to the Automation/Robotics/Computer Science Manager, your main missions will be to:

  • Carry out technical studies in the field of automation and robotics, documenting specifications and test reports,
  • Design and program automated systems based on PLCs and/or robots,
  • Test equipment in our workshop in France or at our head office in Germany,
  • Commission equipment at customer sites in France and abroad,
  • Manage development projects within its area of competence,
  • Assist the sales team in drawing up quotations,
  • Participate in preventive and corrective maintenance of installations, as well as in technical support for our customers, by providing technical expertise,
  • Train maintenance personnel and operators at customer sites,
  • Write the necessary documentation for our customers (French and English),
  • Contribute to feedback by analyzing technical facts, drafting fault reports and implementing recommendations,
  • Contribute to technology watch and propose technical innovations.

Your strengths and requirements for your success :

  • You are looking for a dual contract from September 2024 to prepare for a BAC +5 Engineering or Master's type diploma focused on automation / robotics / mechatronics / industrial computer science,
  • Ideally, you have already gained some experience in an industrial environment
  • You enjoy working in a team and are known for your sociability, your open ear and your accuracy,
  • You are willing to work in a dynamic environment,
  • You have a good command of English, which is essential for development in our international environment,
  • You are able to read and analyze electrical circuit diagrams,
  • Ideally, you have knowledge of motion control systems,
  • You are proficient in the SIEMENS TIA Portal software.
  • You have knowledge of programming KUKA and/or FANUC robots,
  • You have a solid knowledge of automation and electrical engineering.
