Our history
From pioneer to global player
Founding and Evolution of Datatechnic
Datatechnic was founded in 1989 by Pierre-Yves Torrent, an engineer formerly with Garrett. The company focused on turbocharger production systems, especially balancing machines. In 1993 Datatechnic began cooperating with Schenck, resulting in a complete product range for turbocharger balancing. In April 2009 Datatechnic’s balancing division was acquired by Schenck, creating a specialized company offering integrated measurement, correction and automation solutions. The two firms’ complementary expertise enables a comprehensive global offering of advanced turbocharger balancing technologies and services.
