It is a subsidiary of Schenck RoTec Germany, world market leader in balancing technologies. Datatechnic has a manufacturing plant in Uxegney, France, operates with regional partners in all major turbocharger markets, and exports over 80% of its business.

Datatechnic is certified to 1909001 Quality Management Systems by TÜV Rheinland.
The company was founded in 1989 by Pierre-Yves TORRENT, an engineer formerly working for Garrett (turbocharger manufacturer). The company's focus was on turbocharger production systems, in particular balancing machines for turbochargers. To this end, Datatechnic began cooperating with Schenck, the world market leader in balancing technology, in 1993. This collaboration has resulted in a complete range of products to meet all balancing tasks around the turbocharger.
In April 2009, the Datatechnic balancing division was acquired by Schenck, forming a company specialized in turbocharger balancing and enabling a complete offering. This acquisition combines market-leading products for the measurement, correction and automation of turbocharger balancing solutions.
The two companies complement each other superbly with their expertise in the fields of imbalance measurement and correction.
